There is a reason the Irish have always treated this time of year differently. Long before Halloween was named, Samhain marked the turn of the dark half of the year - the moment when the boundary between the living and the dead grew thin enough to breathe through. The hearth fires were extinguished and relit. Offerings were left at thresholds. And the dark that settled over the city was a different kind of dark.

Tales After Dark is a small-group walking tour that explores the darker chapters of Dublin's past through real history, rumour, and legend. At this time of year, that darkness has a little more weight behind it. Usually available only as a private experience, this is your chance to join an intimate public group for a Samhain special edition.

You'll move through streets that have held their secrets for centuries - medieval gateways, narrow lanes, and forgotten courtyards where the stories were not just told but lived. The figures you'll encounter have never felt closer than on these nights, when the veil is at its thinnest and the old world insists on being remembered.

These are not ghost stories dressed up for the season. They are part of this city's oldest memory, and right now, that memory is hardest to ignore.
