Our Story

Our Founder Courtney is an expertly trained historian and a licensed, nationally accredited guide in Ireland.
Originally from the U.S. and of Irish ancestry, Courtney is proudly based in Dublin after living in the UK for over a decade. She founded Dublin Heritage Tours to offer a more personal, meaningful way to experience the city - through immersive storytelling, cultural depth, and small-group connections that go far beyond the typical tourist experience.

With over a decade of experience in the heritage and museum sector across Ireland and the UK - and a background working with various tourism boards - Courtney brings both expertise and authenticity to every tour she leads. Her approach is shaped by a desire to help visitors truly connect with the places they’re exploring, not just pass through them.

Tired of seeing visitors shuffled through landmarks on massive coach tours, she created Dublin Heritage Tours to offer something more thoughtful: small group experiences on foot and by rail, built around meaningful stories, relaxed pacing, and genuine conversation.

At the heart of the company is a clear commitment to responsible tourism. Every route is designed to be low-impact and sustainable. By supporting local communities and making efforts to avoid over-touristed paths, Dublin Heritage Tours invites you to explore Ireland in a way that’s slower, more personal, and far more rewarding.

At the moment, Courtney leads all of our public & private tours - with plans to bring in fellow licensed guides (and their own unique stories) in the very near future!
