DUBLIN HERITAGE TOURS – BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS

Dublin Heritage Tours is a small, independent business. When you book a tour, that time is reserved just for you and other requests are turned away. These terms are designed to protect our limited availability while still giving you fair options if your plans change. Thank you for supporting an independent business.

1. Booking & Payment

Signature Private Tours (up to 8 guests)

  • A non-refundable deposit of €50 is required to confirm your booking.

  • Once a quote is issued, your requested date will be held for 7 calendar days. If confirmation and deposit are not received within this time, the date may be released.

  • The remaining balance may be paid in advance by card or in cash on the day. Full payment instructions will be sent via invoice.

  • Bookings made within 7 days of the tour date require payment in full at time of booking.

Bespoke Tours, Corporate & Education Bookings, and Private Groups of 9+

  • A non-refundable deposit of €100 is required to confirm your booking.

  • Once a quote is issued, your requested date will be held for 7 calendar days. If confirmation and deposit are not received within this time, the date may be released.

  • The remaining balance is due 7 days before your tour date and must be paid by card or bank transfer. Full payment instructions will be sent via invoice.

  • Bookings made within 7 days of the tour date require payment in full at time of booking.

  • For peak season dates, public holidays, or larger group bookings, Dublin Heritage Tours may require full prepayment in advance. This will always be confirmed at the time of booking.

2. Cancellations, Refunds & Rescheduling

  • Cancellations made more than 7 days before the tour: Your deposit is forfeited, but any balance payment already made will be refunded in full. You may request a one-time reschedule in lieu of cancellation, subject to availability within 30 days of the original tour date.

  • Cancellations made 7 days or fewer before the tour, or no-shows: The full tour cost is non-refundable. 

  • If Dublin Heritage Tours cancels a tour, you will receive a full refund of all payments made, including your deposit, less any bank or currency exchange fees for non-EU clients. 

  • All refunds are processed in euro. The final amount received may vary depending on your bank's exchange rate.

3. Late Arrival 

Guests are expected to arrive on time. Your guide is booked for your scheduled time slot only. Late arrival does not extend the tour - it will conclude at the originally agreed time. We appreciate your understanding.

4. Weather Policy 

Tours operate in all weather conditions; please dress appropriately for Irish weather. In the event of extreme conditions where safety is compromised, Dublin Heritage Tours reserves the right to cancel. In such cases, guests will be offered a full refund or the option to reschedule.

5. Health & Safety

  • Please inform us of any medical conditions that may affect your participation prior to booking.

  • Guests are responsible for ensuring they are physically able to take part in the tour.

  • Dublin Heritage Tours accepts no liability for injuries, losses, or damages incurred during a tour.

  • All safety instructions from your guide must be followed.

6. Conduct & Liability

  • We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone under the influence or behaving disruptively. No refund will be issued in such cases.

  • Any damage caused by a guest to equipment or property must be compensated in full.

  • Dublin Heritage Tours is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage of personal items.

  • All guides are fully insured and vetted to ensure a high-quality and secure experience. Dublin Heritage Tours works with a team of professional freelance guides who operate as independent contractors under our brand. Each guide is required to carry their own public liability insurance. By booking a tour, you acknowledge and accept that Dublin Heritage Tours is not liable for actions, omissions, or incidents that occur under the direct control of freelance guides during the tour.

7. Changes to Itinerary 

We reserve the right to modify or cancel any element of a tour due to circumstances beyond our control, including road closures, public events, or severe weather. Any significant changes will be communicated as early as possible.

8. Minors & Accessibility

  • Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Please see individual tour pages for any minimum age requirements.

  • For accessibility requirements, please contact us in advance and we will accommodate wherever possible.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Irish law. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
