Homeland Heritage

Step into the city that shaped your story.

The Jeannie Johnson Famine Ship in Dublin.

This is more than a walking tour - it’s a journey into the heart of Irish identity. Homeland Heritage is designed for visitors, especially those with Irish ancestry, who want to explore the places, stories, and values that shaped the Irish experience both at home and abroad. As we stroll through the historic streets of Dublin, we’ll visit landmarks tied to some of the most defining moments in Ireland’s past - from the Great Famine and mass emigration to the fight for independence and cultural revival.

Together, we’ll uncover the shared history that links generations across oceans. You’ll walk the same streets your ancestors may have once crossed, hear about the choices they faced, and discover how those who remained helped preserve Ireland’s spirit through times of hardship and hope. Stories of resilience, rebellion, and community offer a powerful lens on what it has meant - and still means - to be Irish.

The tour is led by our Founder, Courtney, an American with Irish ancestry whose relocation to Dublin deepened her connection to her heritage. She created Homeland Heritage to explore the enduring links between Ireland and its diaspora - from emigration and survival to the values carried across generations.

Whether you're tracing your roots or simply curious about Ireland’s global story, this tour offers a meaningful, immersive way to connect with the homeland. It’s a celebration of heritage, of history, and of the deep ties between Ireland and its extended global family..
