Physical Requirements

This tour includes:

• Intermittent walking over several hours (light to moderate pace)

• Uneven or cobbled surfaces in parts of Kilkenny’s historic centre

• Travel by public train (with seating provided, but standing may be required at peak times)

Weather Preparedness

Irish weather is famously unpredictable. We recommend dressing in layers and bringing:

• A rainproof jacket

• Comfortable walking shoes

• Sun protection in warmer months

We go rain or shine unless conditions pose a safety risk.

Group Size and Guide Support

This is a small group tour (maximum 6 guests), led by a nationally accredited guide who will be with you for the entire day. Your guide will provide clear instructions throughout the tour and is trained in emergency response protocol. You will be given a contact number in case you become separated from the group.

Health & Hygiene

We follow current public health guidance. If you are feeling unwell or experiencing symptoms of illness on the day of the tour, please contact us as soon as possible to discuss rescheduling or cancellation.

Rail Travel

We travel by public train from Dublin Heuston to Kilkenny and back. Tickets are included and pre-booked. Train stations are fully accessible, but please note that boarding may involve stairs or gaps depending on platform arrangements. We recommend arriving at the meeting point at least 15 minutes early to avoid missing the departure.
